Chloe Mead

Since leaving London Contemporary Dance School with a BA (hons) degree, Chloe has continued to practice and refine her technique. This has enabled her to utilise her versatility to work with a host of different choreographers and projects. She has toured internationally as a performer with both Richard Alston Dance Company and Ceyda Tanc Dance, and regionally with Combination Dance Company and Justine Reeve and Co.

Interspersed between these larger projects Chloe has been involved in various fashion shoots/videos, workshops and public entertainment events. Chloe has been a proud member of Ceyda Tanc Dance for nearly two years and seen it grow from strength to strength. She is excited to continue her commitment to the unique company and be a part of its continual success.

Gemma Shrubb

Dancer and Rehearsal director for Ceyda Tanc Dance, Gemma has worked with the company since 2012. Gemma trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance gaining a Foundation Diploma, then continued her training at London Contemporary Dance School. Gemma studied for a Postgraduate Diploma with EDge at LCDS, touring works nationally and internationally for choreographers including Hofesh Shechter, James Cousins, Helena Franzen and Danish Dans Theatre. 

Gemma has worked as a dancer for many professional projects including, Akram Khan for the 2012 London Olympics, James Wilton for the 2013 RLWC, Willi Dorner, Foura Dance Project, Sita Ostheimer and is a current member of Co_Motion Company.

Her credits also include photography and film projects for Billy Cowie, Pete Inkpen, and music videos for Slow Club, High Hazels, Grey Matter, Della Lupa and Pigeon Detectives. 

Georgia Godfrey

Georgia graduated from Roehampton University where she gained her BA (Hons) in Dance Studies. Since graduating Georgia has gone on to perform with numerous choreographers, including, Lea Anderson, Shaun Parker, Joe Moran, Lalitaraja, Jai Yu and Rosie Whitney-Fish. Georgia’s personal practice investigates the use of voice, text, props and autobiographical stories. She enjoys taking risks and challenging herself to learn new skills. She believes in pushing both her physicality and emotions to engage closely with the work.

Georgia is currently touring nationally and internationally with both Ceyda Tanc Dance and C12 Dance Theatre.

Hayley Ovens

Hayley is a freelance dance artist, specialising in contemporary and community dance. She graduated with a first class honours degree in Dance Studies from the University of Roehampton and went on to complete an MA in Performance at University of Chichester.

As a dancer for Mapdance 2012, Hayley performed work by professional choreographers, Nigel Charnock, Saju Hari, Matteo Fargion, Kiera Martin and Detta Howe. Since then she has toured as a performer in work by CoDa Dance and Ceyda Tanc Dance, taking part in the CTD Turkey Tour 2014 and featuring in video collaborations. 

Hayley has experience facilitating dance for all ages and abilities, leading creative projects in a range of community, health and educational settings. She is currently Rehearsal Director for YMCA Youth Dance. 


Charlotte started training at a young age in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Gymnastics before drawing her interests to Contemporary Dance. In 2012 she performed at U.DANCE as part of Pivotal Dance Company. She went on to study at the University of Chichester and in 2015 graduated with a BA (Hons) in Dance. During her studies, she took part in an exchange to York University, Canada where she undertook further training and worked with choreographers Carol Anderson and Julia Sasso.

Charlotte was a member of 3Fall Dance Company 2014-15, touring theatres nationally. The company worked with Detta Howe, Stuart Waters and Ceyda Tanc. Charlotte has developed a passion for Aerial Dance, investigating the connections between Contact Improvisation and Aerial work during her degree. In 2015 Charlotte joined the Ceyda Tanc Dance Associate Company, working alongside Ceyda during the CPD sessions. Charlotte currently works as a freelance artist in Hampshire teaching a range of classes and workshops at local dance schools, primary and secondary schools as well as teaching on behalf of ZoieLogic Dance Theatre. She also performs for Komarni Girls at high level sporting events including Rugby Champions Cup, Challenge Cup, London 7s & NFL UK. She has recently been working with Dillon Dance for Resolutions in Feb 2016 and became a member of Ceyda Tanc Dance in 2016.
