Since leaving London Contemporary Dance School with a BA (hons) degree, Chloe has continued to practice and refine her technique. This has enabled her to utilise her versatility to work with a host of different choreographers and projects. She has toured internationally as a performer with both Richard Alston Dance Company and Ceyda Tanc Dance, and regionally with Combination Dance Company and Justine Reeve and Co.
Interspersed between these larger projects Chloe has been involved in various fashion shoots/videos, workshops and public entertainment events. Chloe has been a proud member of Ceyda Tanc Dance for nearly two years and seen it grow from strength to strength. She is excited to continue her commitment to the unique company and be a part of its continual success.
Prior to moving to Brighton, Freya trained at Rambert School, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2017; here she performed work by Darren Ellis and Robert Cohan as well as performing Mark Baldwin's The Creation, at Sadler's Wells alongside Rambert Company.
Freya has been involved in numerous projects and has collaborated with artists from Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College. Freya performs with The Yonis, a female contemporary movement band who are resident artists for Woman SRSLY and is a dancer with Chrysalis London.
Freya is thrilled to be joining the company for the production of KAYA this year.
Dancer and Rehearsal director for Ceyda Tanc Dance, Gemma has worked with the company since 2012. Gemma began her training in 2008 at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and continued at The London Contemporary Dance School. Gemma studied for a Postgraduate Diploma with Edge, touring works nationally and internationally for choreographers including Hofesh Shechter, James Cousins, Helena Franzen and Danish Dans Theatre.
Gemma’s professional experience has included works for Akram Khan for the 2012 London Olympics, James Wilton, Fuora Dance Project, Willi Dormer and Co_Motion Dance.
Her credits also include photographic projects for Pete Inkpen, Roarke Pearce and Charana Jayasuriya. Films for Billy Cowie, Slow Club, High Hazels, Grey Matter, Della Lupa and Pigeon Detectives.
Georgia joined Ceyda Tanc Dance in 2017 for the creation of KAYA. As a founding member of Shoreditch Youth Dance Company from 2010-2013, Georgia performed works nationally and internationally by the likes of James Wilton, John Ross and Mafalda Deville.
After graduating from Trinity Laban in 2014, she joined VERVE Postgraduate Dance Company, touring commissions by Kerry Nicholls, Douglas Thorpe and Luca Silvestrini throughout the UK and Europe. Since then she has been involved in numerous R&D phases for new works with artists Fernanda Prata and Lea Anderson, and most recently performing with J7s Dance Company, Grov Productions, Sara Dos Santos Dance and Second Hand Dance.
Georgia teaches across a range of educational settings including English National Ballet’s engagement programme, and is the Administrator for Dance Umbrella.
Hayley is a dance artist based in Brighton. She has been working with Ceyda Tanc Dance since 2012 and is a dancer and Education Manager for the company.
Hayley graduated from University of Chichester with an MA Performance: Dance in 2012 having toured work by Nigel Charnock and Saju Hari nationally. Since, she has performed with CODA Dance and Pickett Improv. As well as performing nationally with Ceyda Tanc Dance and facilitating community projects, she has taken part in two research and touring trips in Turkey.
She is an experienced dance teacher and arts project manager, having worked in a range of community, education and health settings. She has delivered projects for Rambert, Arts 4 Dementia, The Place, Alzheimer’s Society, Brighton City Partnership for Education, Brighton & Hove City Council, Artis Education and YMCA London South West. She teaches A Level Dance and delivers regular classes and workshops for Ceyda Tanc Dance in the South East.
