Ceyda Tanc Dance is a contemporary dance company led by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Ceyda Tanc.
The company produce cutting-edge, dynamic contemporary dance works with influence of traditional Turkish folk dance, the dance style of Tanc’s heritage. Utilising virtuoso movements of the male Turkish dancers on female bodies, a unique movement vocabulary is created, which conveys striking shapes, and an emotive and sensual energy.

CTeD is the education strand of Ceyda Tanc Dance. We are committed to sharing our passion for dance and performance, specialising in contemporary and traditional Turkish folk dance. We aim to inspire enthusiasm for these art forms in people of all ages and abilities.
We take pride in celebrating cultural diversity in dance and the community, with particular emphasis on how traditional dances can be incorporated
into contemporary forms.

Ceyda Tanc Youth Dance is company for talented young dancers aged 15-19 years with strong technique and excellent potential, who are looking to pursue further dance training.
Since its conception in 2012, the company have built a solid
reputation throughout the South East and reached the finals of
Youth Dance England’s national youth dance platform, U.Dance, both in 2013 and 2015. After seeing the company perform at U.Dance 2015, Richard Alston invited them to perform alongside his professional company at Theatre Royal, Brighton.
